The story 'Dragontide',
was a collaboration between a
pair of friends ...
Natasha Ewendt and Linda M
With Linda M illustrating,
It was decided that they would print so many and 'test the waters ' so's to speak, and now they are in the process, after receiving such a great response, of approaching the publishers ....
The story takes place in Boston Bay, South Australia,
with Port Lincoln being the home city.
The critters, the heroes, heroines and the bad guys, do live in these waters. When they move into deeper waters, off the continental shelf, ( being many miles deep, heading towards the South Antarctic ) they were able to use for reference a film, directed and narrated by David Attenboro,
From the series .. ' The Blue Planet ' 2nd episode.

Which for instance is one of the reasons that the school libraries picked up the book also.

( one will have to read the story, to find the nickname she gives herself )
It covers the ins and outs of the damage that is being done to the environment,
and as to how even one child, person, can make a difference.
Though they should state that it is, and was meant to be a fun time of reading. If the child is too young, then the authors were thinking it brings together the idea of being a bedtime story, another reason as to being a larger size of book...
to sit on the floor, within a group and enjoy turning the pages ...
